THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR REFEREEING CAREER SO.

Refereeing St Mirren v Falkirk in the SPL .

ANY PET HATES IN FOOTBALL?

Simulation and players over re-acting following a challenge.

WHICH, IF ANY, LAW WOULD YOU CHANGE?

I would adjust the Law to make Simulation a Red Card offence.

WHAT DOES BEING A REFEREE MEAN TO YOU?

I love it far too much to the detriment of everything and everybody in my life.

WHAT MADE YOU TAKE UP REFEREEING?

I wasn’t selected one day and was thrown the whistle.

YOUR REFEREEING AMBITIONS.

To continue Refereeing at the highest level possible.

MAIN STRENGTHS.

Focus and Determination.

MAIN WEAKNESSES.  None.

It used to be chocolate but I have that under control now and have been know to refuse the occasional Fruit & Nut.

FUNNIEST MOMENT WHILE REFEREEING.

Watching the smallest player on the pitch picking a fight with the biggest player on the pitch, then realising that his team mates were not behind him and watching him sprint 20 yards to hide behind me.

ANY HOBBIES & INTERESTS.

Keeping fit for Refereeing.

ADVICE FOR A REFEREE JUST BEGINNING THEIR CAREER.

Spend as much time as possible in the company of your more senior colleagues, attend training and ask questions.
